NAVIGATORS COLLEGIATE
UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA
About Us
TM
For over 50 years, The Navigators have been helping students "to know Christ, make Him known and help others do the same" at The University of Minnesota. We do this through Life-to-Life mentoring or discipling relationships, small groups and community events.
We believe that this is best done by students reaching students. Our desire is to journey alongside students, helping them to navigate the collegiate life and prepare them for life beyond college.
We're a part of a national network of campus ministries known at Navigators Collegiate (www.collegiatenavigators.org)
Staff Team
Our staff team exists to provide guidance and support to our students as they endeavor "to know Christ, make Him known, and help others do the same"
Jason Robinson
Campus Director
Jason discovered campus ministry as a freshman at Western Illinois University through a friend who invited him to play basketball. Impressed by his friends willingness to cross cultural lines to share his life and faith with him, Jason has been paying it forward for over three decades. He is passionate about mentoring the next generation of leaders.
Originally from Illinois, Jason moved to Minneapolis-St. Paul in 2019 and has since discovered that Minnesotans don't just play hockey but some of them can play basketball too! When he isn't leading the Navigators Ministry, you can find him hanging with students in "The Rec" getting up shots and putting down a few dunks (yes he can still do it in his 50's, just hover over the picture for proof) with students.

We Believe...
Our Beliefs
-
That the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.
-
In one God, the Creator; eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
-
That Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, and that He was and remains true God and true man.
-
That God created Adam and Eve in the divine image; that they sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God; and that, as a result of Adam's sin, all human beings are now born with a sinful nature and stand guilty before God.
-
That the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.
-
In the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present life there for us, as High Priest and Advocate.
-
In the blessed hope of the personal and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
-
That all who by faith receive the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.
-
That the Holy Spirit indwells and gives spiritual life to all believers, enables them to understand biblical truth, empowers them for godly living, and equips them for service and witness.
-
In the bodily resurrection of the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the lost.

Our Vision
Rooted in 2 Timothy 2:2 "You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others." Our vision is to see students sharing their faith with those that they live, work and play with, helping them to develop and grow a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We want this to not only happen on campus but we want them to develop a lifestyle that will continue well beyond their college years.
