NAVIGATORS COLLEGIATE
UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA
Community Groups
Our life-to-life approach to discipleship requires proximity. Our small groups often share meals together, study the Bible together, pray together, serve together, and have lots of fun together. For most students who commit to a small group the result is solid growth in their walk with God, and a solid group of long-term friends. We offer both mens' and womens' small groups in most dorms as well as a number of different off-campus options. We also have a small group that focuses on basketball and building relationships in the Rec Center.

NavNight: A Community Gathering
Thursdays 8-9:30: Location: Bordertown Coffee
Nav Night is our weekly large group gathering on campus during the school year. Expect relevant messages taught from the Bible, a time of prayer, hearing from fellow students, and a chance to connect and meet people. Nav Night typically runs from 8:00 to 9:30 on Thursday night, but people often stay late to hang out and eat snacks. If you are new to Navigators, Nav Night is one of the best ways you can come check out our group!
Community Events
Every month or so we try to do an organized event to gather our Navigators community together. In the fall we typically try to do something outside like hiking or painting pumpkins. Sometimes we get all the men or women together for a short retreat style event on a Saturday morning and afternoon with a message and something fun or service-oriented. We love to host house parties, football watch parties, Thanksgiving potlucks, and Christmas parties! Everyone is welcome to any of our organized events. Over winter break we try to do a fun retreat at a camp, or a ski trip.
Life-to-Life Mentoring
One of the best ways to be known and cared for is in life-to-life discipleship. Seeking to be faithful to Jesus' call in the Great Commission to make disciples, it is our passion to personally invest in a generation of people who, in turn, desire to invest in others who will do the same. "What you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also," (2 Timothy 2:2).
International Students
As you arrive from all over the world and step out onto the UMN campus, there are lots of big changes ahead of you! We are here and we would love to support you as you make Minneapolis your temporary home away from home. Whether you have been a Christian your whole life or if you are interested in exploring the Bible and Jesus for the first time, we have a place for you! From social events like English club to more intimate small group Bible discussions you will find a community of domestic and international students who are welcoming, loving and FUN! Year after year many new students would agree that our Navigator community is an awesome place to grow strong in your relationships with God and with others!
